Social & Emotional Development - Intervention Programme

At Troon School we want all of our children to love coming to school, to want to learn and to engage with their experiences, to have fulfilling relationships with the adults and peers around them.

In order to help us achieve this, Miss Johns, Miss Buckland & Mrs Williams are trained practitioners and work closely with Miss Gray, our SENDco, to support children to further develop their social and emotional needs. This usually takes place in our ‘Lotus’ room.

The work they do is a dynamic developmental approach to help develop children’s social and emotional skills. It helps promote their emotional wellbeing at all times, support their emotional learning at key times, and to support any early signs of difficulties within time.

The programme will help us identify and assess any children who would benefit from some 1:1 or small group work in these areas.

If you would like to find out anything more about how this can benefit your child please contact Miss Johns or Miss Buckland at school. We really do believe that this programme will enable your child to achieve their very best and become a confident learner. If you believe that your child would benefit from 1:1 or small group work please download and complete the letter below.
